About Lisa Sensei

I'm Lisa. I'm so glad you're here. I'd love to share a small glance at the journey that has brought me to this practice, one of my greatest passions and my purpose.

 

My story has been as colorful as it is diverse, beginning with my academic roots. Earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Davenport University was the perfect step for the person I was then. My curiosity about the digital world and becoming an entrepreneur also got me involved in programs at New York University and Cornell, where I delved into Integrated Marketing, Digital Media and Women’s Entrepreneurship.

Ultimately, it has been the gentle call of the healing arts that has truly captured my heart. In 2014, the beginnings of my own healing journey brought me to the north shore of Kauai at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork, where I embraced the cathartic practices of therapeutic bodywork, mindfulness, transpersonal and somatic work. It was there that I also began my studies into the subconscious pathways in Hypnotherapy training with Lee Joseph in the serenity of Hawaii's oldest island.

The bees have been present and have had a tremendous impact on my own healing odyssey. In 2017, after diving into the profound lineage of the Japanese Meridian Apitherapy at Hoshindo Healing Arts Institute in Santa Fe, I was honored to become a board certified Hoshindo Practitioner.

In 2021, I completed my Reiki Master training with the gifted Alina Iorgovan, who practices in Paris. Even as I continue this incredible journey, dance remains a cornerstone of my spiritual and physical expression. I've found significant connection to my deepest self with 5 Rhythms and the global community of Ecstatic Dance, both as a participant and as a guide.

And now, from my cozy corner in Reno, Nevada, I weave together the strands of my experiences, hoping to bring healing, balance, and a touch of beauty to all those I meet on this winding path. Each part of my journey a crucial part of the tapestry that has become my current path — one that merges the analytical with the intuitive, providing the foundation for my fulfilling work with the bees and the people drawn to work with them.
